Into the woods.

I've been dreaming about bringing the outdoors in ever since I saw a magazine spread in a Danish magazine of a mostly white appartment. One wall was papered with Cole&Sons "Woods" wallpaper and I was mesmerized. Since then I've done a little research and here are the options I came up with:

cole sons
The famous Cole&Sons "Woods" wallpaper. Beautiful, but sets you back about 200$...per roll. I don't dare to estimate how much we'd have to spend to paper just one of our living room walls. Eeek! But still my favourite. Since we are renting this is probably not a great idea anyway...

Marimekko "Tuuli" fabric. Less pricey, but still...pretty pricey...

ikea anoo unni
IKEA "Sanno Unni" panel. About 25 Euros - super affordable. Every time I got to IKEA in the last couple of months they were out of stock (maybe that's a good sign?) so I haven't had the chance to see or feel them.

Maybe we should just move away from the city. :)

Any thoughts or suggestions? Have you tried any of these? Or something else? Let me know!

I know I shouldn't have...

...but I couldn't resist. I had to have this print.

"How I got my stutter"

It's wonderful and weird at the same time, even slightly spooky.
Check out "How I got my stutter" and Madelaines other prints at her etsy shop.

I think I want this...

I always wanted a grandfather clock... But since the really old ones are out of my price range and the not-really-old-ones are a bit tacky, this might be the fun solution. The background is printed on canvas, but it has a real clock work!
Our ceilings are probably too low though for it to look good... It should hang in either a very modern appartment with concrete walls or in a really old one.
Bummer they don't ship to Germany.

(I'm currently staying in Munich and very bored...and paying HUGE wlan fees at Starbucks...argh.)

coffee cozy

As you might have noticed...I took a little break to settle into the new year. I'm currently working away from home and don't have my camera on me, so I have to show you something I made a while back. A coffee cozy! Pretty useful and pretty easy to sew. (Except for the bias tape edges...the corners get me every time...argh....) It has a velcro closure in the back so you can just rip it off in a jiffy and throw it in the washing machine.
