moving swiftly on to...xmas!

Each year I tend to go a little overboard with christmas decorations. No, no - no fairy light deer and santa in the yard...but just because we don't have a yard. The last time I had to force myself away from making more glittery things - it was actually already the middle of January and I was still making bottle trees and ornaments...
By the end of September or whenever it starts to get colder (Halloween and Thanksgiving are sadly not a big deal over here) I get nervous and contemplate what cookies I will bake and if I really need another box of antique glass christmas ornaments. (NO. NO. NO. Trust me.)
And just today I remembered this Danish firm I discovered last year called Walther&Co. that makes the most beautiful christmas things... from glass, wood and most importantly galvanized metal, a material which I like a lot. The way their products are presented is perfect, too. Simple, old fashioned but with a modern twist. Get ready to fall in love...

Are you in the mood yet?

Definitely autumn, the leaves are turning yummy.

pumpkin soup
(Hokkaido pumpkin soup - with puff pasty leaves - that I made last weekend.)

It's cold and rainy over here and I have to force myself to leave the house. Just the kind of weather that makes you want to stay inside. There is so much to do!

I want to continue knitting this cabled scarf.

And maybe start this one.

I have mastered the art of cutting a bell pepper and will never look back. Genius!

For over a week now we have been drinking green smoothies for breakfast. I think we look younger already...

I started watching "Lost in Austen" and I'm not sure how I feel about it yet.

If you haven't seen it already - I highly recommend "Once"

See...I'm constantly busy.

Pa rum pum pum pum.

I think I REALLY need a little drummer boy jacket and sequin top :

Like...RIGHT now. The more I look at these pictures, the more I fall in love with this outfit. Perfect.

Or an oversized woolen hat?

I'm SO ready for fall. And even so I'm repeating myself - Danish designers make the most beautiful clothes.

Guilty pleasures revealed...I'm strangely attracted to "The Rachel Zoe Project". I can't help it - what a fantastic trash fest! Clearly sponsored by Starbucks (there's a giant latte in every scene) and just...a lot of fabulous fluff. "It's 9am and I still need to find the right handbag for this outfit. My life is just so crazy." Ah...the drama. But please Rachel...tell Rodger to get a new haircut. :)

bad hair day?

Why not try on

...or an elephant?

These creations by designer Nagi Noda are pretty bizarre, but just imagine the face of your date when he picks you up for Ascot!
Sorry I've been MIA the last couple of days, but I had a huge project to finish, which actually had to do with writing about animals. Maybe that's why my subconscience found these hats so strangely appealing...
